At 77, after spending a lifetime as a physician, I found myself searching for something more. Don’t get me wrong—I love golf, the gym, biking, and even yard work, but I wanted a new purpose. I wanted to do something meaningful, something that could make a difference. That’s when the idea for Honor Blue Designs came to me.

I’ve always had a deep respect for law enforcement. Their bravery, sacrifice, and dedication to keeping our communities safe often go unnoticed. I wanted to change that. With this brand, I’m not just creating products—I’m building a way to honor their work and give back. 10% of every purchase goes directly to Concerns Of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), an incredible organization that supports families of fallen officers.

To make it all happen, I started small with a Printify pop-up store. I learned quickly that the process isn’t always smooth—Etsy proved to be a headache, suspending my account before I even got started. But challenges are part of any journey, right? I’m not letting that stop me. Now, I’m setting my sights on Shopify and Amazon to grow Honor Blue Designs into something even bigger.
